MONBULK people can enjoy the thrill of Las Vegas as the town’s RSL gets ready to be turned into a casino for one night only.
The Monbulk Country Fire Authority is holding a Casino night on Saturday, 28 October to raise money for the brigade.
People can let the chips lie or roll the dice at the event by trying their hand at the roulette tables or play a game of blackjack or poker.
Entry to the Casino night is $15 per person and each entrant will receive $2 million in play money which they can then choose to risk at the gaming tables.
At the end of the night people can use what is left of their play money to bid at a silent auction for prizes donated by local businesses.
The night starts at 7.30pm at the Monbulk RSL clubrooms and will include light refreshments and drinks can be purchased from the bar.
The money raised from the Casino night will go towards helping to upgrade Monbulk CFA’s communication equipment and operations room.
Monbulk CFA Captain Ross Leaver said the brigade is facing an extremely dangerous fire season and upgrading some of its facilities was just one part of the volunteers’ preparation for the summer.
