IN A closely fought match, Upwey-Tecoma held out Lysterfield by three runs to win the U13/1 match of the day.
Played in difficult and windy conditions, Taylor Jones (3/17) and Matthew Chambers (2/18) received great support from all of their team mates to restrict Lysterfield to 9/165, chasing 169 for victory.
The U13 Black team made it consecutive wins with a solid batting performance against UFTG Maroon.
Requiring 71 for victory, Keenan Hinton led the way with an unbeaten 33 as the boys amassed 8/110.
Corey Woolcock (3/14) and Matthew Chapman (2/12) put up a great fight for 13 Gold against Mulgrave but a total of 105 was always going to be hard to defend on a very fast track at Upwey. Mulgrave finished at 8/189.
