COLIN Robson of Selby will share his art for the first time with hills people this month.
An exhibition showcasing his work will be held at Lady Hawke Café in Mt Dandenong until Wednesday, 31 January.
Twenty-four pieces of Mr Robson’s best work including paintings, sketches and photographs will be on show.
Mr Robson was inspired as a child by his mother to become an artist and has been working at it ever since.
“My mother used to paint and inspired me to follow in her footsteps,” he said.
Mr Robson has worked as an illustrator for many advertising agencies across Australia and also in the UK.
He doesn’t have a speciality area but likes to branch out into painting, sketching and photography.
He says he is excited about his first exhibition and hopes visitors will enjoy his work.
“I usually only paint for family but have sold a few paintings through galleries,” he said.
“It will be interesting to see how it goes.”
Anyone interested in checking out Colin’s exhibition can enjoy a nice meal at the Lady Hawke Café while admiring the art at 1365 Mt Dandenong Tourist Road, Mt Dandenong.
