Art skills honed early

By MELISSA MEEHAN

STUDENTS at Mount Dandenong Primary School have been working with local artists to complete a piece of artwork for their upcoming art show.
Teacher Liz Kennedy said this year was the third art show.
“All the artwork was created by students working with artists from our school and the wider community along with the assistance from a dedicated group of parents,” she said.
“The art program at the school is highly regarded and valued and the artwork showcases the creativity and talent of the students at the school,” teacher Michelle Lawrence said.
Their artwork is up for sale and there will be a variety of competitions held on the night with the money going back into the Mt Dandenong Primary School art program.
The art show will be held on Thursday 23 October 2014 from 6pm-8.30pm at the school, Farndons Road, Mount Dandenong.
