Garden pledge

A re-elected Labor State Government would put $1 million to recreating an award-winning garden in Olinda.

The Australian Garden exhibit was the first and only Australian garden exhibit to win the Best in Show Gold Medal at the Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show in London, in 2013.

The replica would be located at the state’s newest botanic gardens, the Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden, to honour locals – designer Phillip Johnson and horticulturist Wes Fleming.

Philanthropic support would also be provided to make the project a reality.
