Child assaulted in Ferntree Gully

Police are seeking more information after a 12-year-old child was assaulted by an unknown man in Ferntree Gully on Tuesday 11 January.

The child was approached and assaulted by the man at 6pm on the Blind Creek Trail near Mountain Gate Tennis Club.

Police are seeking public assistance in identifying the man using a composite image created from a description of the man.

Anyone with information is requested to contact Detective Sergeant Cartagena at Knox CIU on 8991 7999 or 9881 7000, or make a confidential report to Crime Stoppers.
