Man collides with light pole in Bayswater

Highway Patrol officers spotted a man collide with a light pole while conducting speed checks on Mountain Highway, Bayswater at 10.15pm on Sunday 23 January.

Police said they stopped the 26-year-old man, who later returned a positive result for illicit drugs.

The man was issues with fines of $981 and his license has been suspended for 6 months for drug-driving.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident and the driver wasn’t injured despite heavy damage to his vehicle.
