SNIPPETS: Junk yard beats workshop

Knox City Council is running a number of children’s programs across the school holidays.

A junkyard beats workshop will be held on Friday 22 April at 11am at the Knox Community Arts Centre on the corner of Mountain Highway and Scoresby Road, Bayswater.

The workshop uses up-cycled materials like plastic buckets, bags, pots, pans and body percussion to create a recycling lesson in a creative and fun way.

Children will be introduced to concepts of sustainability and recycling like reduce, reuse and repair through discussions, music, dance and drumming.

Tickets are $15 and the workshop is for children aged four years and older.
