A 33-year-old man was pulled over by police on Narcissus Avenue in Boronia with more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system in the early hours of Anzac Day.
Police said the man returned a positive primary breath test at the scene after being pulled over at 8.30am, before returning an evidentiary breath test of 0.176, well above the legal limit.
The man’s license was immediately suspended and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $879.
Police said he will be charged with drink-driving offences and he will likely face the magistrates’ court.
