Car intercepted in Ferntree Gully carrying “trafficable” amount of drugs

At around 2am on Sunday 10 July, Police officers from Transit East Tasking Team observed a vehicle with a flat tyre driving on the wrong side of the road near Ferntree Gully.

Police said the vehicle was intercepted on Blackwood Park Road with three men as passengers. One man allegedly attempted to flee and was arrested at a nearby property.

Police said a large trafficable amount of what is believed to be MDMA was located, with an estimated street value of $15,000.

The three men will face court at a later date.
