At around 7.10pm on Saturday 7 January, two cyclists on Boronia Road were struck by a white sedan, with the driver of the vehicle failing to stop.

The cyclists were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the collision.

Police said both riders were riding legally in the left lane and had flashing lights fitted.

The driver of the vehicle was described as a Caucasian female and it is believed there were several other occupants in the car.

Police asked the driver to come forward before the police come knocking on their door.

In a Facebook post, Yarra Ranges Eyewatch said “it is disappointing that despite our best efforts to warn people about the consequences of risk-taking behaviour, particularly at this time of year, we are still attending a number of avoidable motor vehicle collisions”.
