Community complaints lead to arrest

A Ferntree Gully woman has had her vehicle impounded.

On Sunday 6th of August 2023, as a result of complaints from members of the public, Highway Patrol members patrolling in Ferntree Gully observed a 38-year-old unlicenced female driving her vehicle.

The vehicle was intercepted and the woman later refused to undergo a drug test.

Her vehicle was immediately impounded for 30 days at a cost of $979.

She will be charged on summons with driving whilst disqualified, refusing to undergo an oral fluid (drug) test, breaching bail conditions and driving a defective vehicle.

It comes as a timely reminder from police, not to drive under the influence, or you will be caught.
