Cardinia Shire’s seniors can get active, try something new and meet new people at the upcoming Seniors Festival.

Seniors Festival is a state-wide festival celebrating the contributions of seniors in our community for the month of October.

This year’s theme is ‘Learn Love Live’ and what better way to do so than taking part in free and low-cost events and activities hosted and/or supported by Cardinia Shire Council.

During Seniors Festival our local seniors can see what local social opportunities exist at the Senior-tivity expo, take part in ballroom, old time, new vogue, rock ‘n’ roll, and line dancing at the Old time dance event, enjoy Cardinia Cultural Centre’s renowned pre-show Devonshire tea followed by the live theatre performance of popular songs from Rogers and Hammerstein musicals or practice gentle moving meditation at an outdoor Tai Chi event.

Cardinia Shire Mayor, Councillor Tammy Radford encourages Cardinia Shire’s seniors to get involved.

“It is important to recognise the positive impact that our Cardinia Shire seniors have on the community.

“The festival is a great way to bring our seniors together to enjoy themselves, learn new skills and make new friends,” she said.
