Rick Price is making an appearance in Knox.
The singer has recently released his new Blues & Roots EP ‘Wayfaring Stranger’ on to coincide with his October, November and January ’24 Australian tour.
The original hymns have spanned centuries with other gospels songs being written in the early 1900’s like ‘Wayfaring Stranger’, ‘Amazing Grace’, ‘Wade In The Water, and ‘Will The Circle Be Unbroken’.
They have resonated and been covered by legends such as, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, Eva Cassidy, Oliva Newton-John, Ray Charles, Ed Sheeran and now Rick Price.
This soul stirring EP takes you on an uplifting journey with Rick’s renditions of some of the most popular gospel tracks ever written.
Rick recorded and produced ‘Wayfaring Stranger’ in Nashville with some legendary US musicians, Tom Bukovac on guitar, Dennis Crouch on bass, Jimmy Wallace on organ/piano and, Joshua Hunt on drums.
“I’ll be performing all the songs from my upcoming EP ‘Wayfaring Stranger’ a collection of some of my favourite last century gospel songs.
“I’ll also be revisiting some of my own hits like ‘Heaven Knows’, ‘Not A Day Goes By’ and ‘River Of Love’. Can’t wait to be back with you once again in the Homeland!” said Mr Price.
Knox locals can see Mr Price live in concert on Sunday 15th October at the Sookie Lounge Belgrave.
