The Cardinia Shire council has announced their selected artists for the 2024 Cardinia shire music residencies program.

The 2024 Cardinia Shire Music Residencies program aims to support emerging musicians by providing vital industry knowledge and experience to advance their individual careers.

Through a tailored program delivered by Cardinia Arts and local industry whiz, Daniel Kelaart, each musician recorded a new song in a professional studio and took part in a series of professional development activities.

The selected artists were chosen from a collection of diverse applicants, representing a variety of genres and high-quality musicianship.

The three successful applicants for the program this year are Jon Colins, Miranda Eno and Sage Kelly.

Jon has been a musician for 21 years and is a guitarist and vocalist commonly performing at events and weddings. He is known around the community for advocating for arts locally.

Miranda is known for performing with her guitar on open mic stages around Melbourne with sounds in pop, rock and RnB. She is currently working on her first EP.

Sage’s passion is playing her ukulele with an indie-pop vibe. She is currently studying music and wants to take her talents further through the residency program.

Cardia Shire congratulated the residents in their online media release and residents can find out more information on the program and the selected artists, at www.cardiniaculturalcentre.com.au/for_artists/music-residencies-2024/
