House fire Boronia

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) firefighters have rescued two occupants from a burning home in Boronia after multiple calls were made to Triple Zero for a

house fire around 6am on Saturday morning, 22 March.

FRV crews arrived within five minutes to find smoke and flames issuing from a single storey brick home.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus entered the burning house and were able to locate two occupants and bring them to safety. Firefighters

treated the pair on scene for smoke inhalation before being placed in the care of Ambulance Victoria.

The fire was deemed under control at 6.47am, 42 minutes after FRV arrived on scene.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but it will be investigated.

Firefighters will remain on scene for some time, to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.
