Police investigate anti-semitic graffiti in The Basin

Police have launched an investigation after anti-Semitic graffiti was discovered in The Basin, near Boronia, on Saturday 20 April.

The offensive markings were found around 4:45pm on a building and several street signs along Mountain Highway. Authorities are currently working to remove the symbols and messages.

“There is absolutely no place in our society for anti-Semitic or hate-driven symbols and behaviour,” a spokesperson said on Yarra Ranges Eyewatch.

Investigators are urging anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage from the area, to come forward.
