Probationary driver charged in Boronia

As part of Operation SCOREBOARD, a 24-year-old male probationary driver was caught performing a skid in front of Highway Patrol officers in Boronia on Friday, 26 September 2025.

The man later returned a positive result for illicit drugs.

He will be charged with numerous offences, including driving a probationary prohibited vehicle, causing a loss of traction, careless driving, drug driving, using a defective vehicle due to bald tyres, and failing to display P-plates.

His vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1016.

If convicted, the driver will lose his licence for a minimum period of six months.

Police maintain a zero-tolerance approach to reckless behaviour that endangers other road users.

Operation SCOREBOARD continued across the state over the weekend.
