Community Energy Roadshow comes to Emerald

The renewable energy revolution is here, and it’s powered by our local community.

Find out how the Dandenong Ranges locals are leading the transition to renewable energy, generating local power from the sun, cutting household bills and protecting our health and wellbeing.

A free Community Energy Roadshow will be hosted at The Emerald Hills Hub – 402 Belgrave-Gembrook Rd, Emerald – from 7.30-9.30pm on Monday, 20 June 2022.

The Roadshow will feature keynote speaker and renewable energy expert Dr Moragh Mackay. Register now at https://bit.ly/3vwyRuN

Secretary of Dandenong Ranges Renewable Association (DRREA), Russell Marnock, stated: “This is a great opportunity to find out about Community Power Hubs and how they are helping volunteer organisations like the Dandenong Ranges Renewable Energy Association promote renewables”.

“DRREA has been active since 2007 and has promoted many solar installations around Emerald and the Hills. We have organised many forums on renewables, recycling and climate change topics. A group of enthusiastic volunteers with a range of technical backgrounds we help fellow members and the public to make the right decisions on installing renewables. We are always keen to involve more interested members in achieving our goals and reducing carbon emissions. You can even save money while you save the planet!”

This exciting community event will be hosted by DRREA and the Yarra Valley Community Power Hub, who are working together to accelerate Victoria’s transition to a renewable energy future and to meet Victoria’s target of zero carbon emissions by 2050. These initiatives are supported by Sustainability Victoria on behalf of the Victorian Government.
