Dr Mariam Estfanous has taken over ownership of Hillscene Family Medical Centre.

Dr Mariam Estfanous has taken over the new ownership of the practice, Hillscene Family Medical Centre is delighted to announce.

Dr Estfanous may be a familiar face to locals as she has been working for the past few years in Emerald serving the community prior to acquiring Hillscene FMC this year.

This forms part of her ten years experience working in a general practice, bringing a vast range of knowledge and expertise to the general practice.

Dr Estfanous has a strong focus on preventative medicine and her particular interests include child health, women health, and chronic disease management.

Some of the procedures she performs are removal of skin lesions, PAP smears, Implanon insertion and removal.

The dedicated team is committed to high-level safety and quality healthcare and the highly skilled doctors will continue to provide quality care to the trusted community.

While Telehealth is great in circumstances such as Covid-19 to ensure minimal exposure to the virus, patients should be aware that face to face consultations have resumed since late last year.

Meeting the doctor in person is significant in ensuring the overall health of a patient – including physical examinations that are vital in revealing the state of a patient’s wellbeing, and early detection schemes.

Hillscene continues to take the proper precautions such as face masks, triaging for Covid-19 symptoms and social distancing.

Staff would like to encourage all patients to resume face-to-face consultation to safeguard complete, continuous, and uncompromised medical care, especially for chronic disease management.
