At St Paul’s Primary School in Monbulk, we enrol and care for your whole family, not just your child.
It is very important for parents to know that when they drop their child at school each day they will be cared for, nurtured and given every opportunity to reach their full potential. This is what an education at St Paul’s is all about.
St Paul’s Primary School has in place a set of core values that underpin the vision of the school.
The values are unique to the school. Our values have their foundations in the Principles of Catholic Social Teaching and a direct relationship to the nine core values of Australian schools, as outlined in the National Framework for Values Education.
At St Paul’s we value Justice. Our community members show compassion, empathy, and courtesy for all persons. We show respect at all times by listening to others attentively, valuing their contributions, being compassionate, and being generous. Our students demonstrate courage when they do the right thing even when it is hard.
There is a great sense of responsibility at St Paul’s where we take shared ownership for our community. The students are taught to apply their values and make the right decisions by applying the value of Wisdom and Judgement.
Resilience is high on the agenda. We explicitly teach students about growth mindset and our focus on social and emotional skills is really important for developing children’s resilience. A St Paul’s education centres on creating students that are respectful, polite, resilient problem solvers with a thirst for learning and a zest for life.
