THE second round of the Emerald Golf Club’s Championships saw some good scoring.
The round of the day went to club president Greg Horrocks with a score of 65 to win A grade.
Barry Cook took out B grade with a 69 while Noel Prictor was the winner in C grade with a 69 also.
Nearest the pins were won by Ben Balfour, Mike Litchfield and Mango Maguire while the pro pin was won by Andrew Smith.
The final round of the championships, to be played on Saturday, sees Edin Selimovic starting five strokes clear of defending champion Mango Maguire with a gap to the rest.
B grade is a close contest with Rod Ward, Dave Hunt and Rick Arthurson grouped to play while in C grade, leader Prictor holds a handy break over the rest of the field.
Wednesday’s competition was won by Justin Fuller 66 from Martin Yeats with 70.
