DID you know that the collective noun for a group of teddies is a ‘hug’ of teddies?
Recently a troupe of children and a hug of teddies marched to the oval at Mountain District Christian School for a much anticipated Teddy Bear’s Picnic.
During the picnic, children happily tossed their teddies in a teddy contest, they played teddy catch in another contest and then finished the picnic with a sumptuous spread provided by creative mums and dads.
The picnic was the culmination of a Teddy Bear Week which was part of a unit called Toys and Games.
Teddies were invited to join their owners at school for the week and join in with the various activities that took place in their classes.
Teddy week included teddy maths, teddy reading and teddy craft.
Everyone is invited to meet the community at Mountain District Christian School in Macclesfield Road, Monbulk, on Saturday 20 May, between 1pm and 4pm.
Tours will be leaving from the office every half hour.
