HAVING undergone a 12month $4 million refurbishment, the famous observatory site on Mount Dandenong has reopened, establishing itself as the linchpin for the Dandenong Ranges once again.
SkyHigh Mount Dandenong incorporates new facilities developed to complement the breathtaking views.
These include a premier function facility with access for viewing terraces, a garden wedding setting with superb Victorian gazebo and new roads, car parking and access.
Public barbecue facilities showcase the outstanding views.
There are more than 4000 new plants in the garden walk and extended and upgraded bistro facilities with a huge open fireplace.

Events coming up at SkyHigh Mount Dandenong include Dinner in the Round.
On the first Thursday of every month, wine and dine in the fabulous SkyHigh function centre.
While dining, gaze out at the stars and enjoy a view that only SkyHigh Mount Dandenong can boast.
The executive chef has designed a menu with the gourmet in mind, using all local produce resulting in a dinner that is a true epicurian masterpiece.
Dinner in the Round will be held on Thursday, 4 August, Thursday, 1 September and Thursday, 6 October.
Winter warmer buffets are another highlight at SkyHigh Mount Dandenong.
Through the months of August and September why not escape the winter blues for a fantastic night in the SkyHigh function centre.
Every Friday night enjoy a themed buffet presenting tempting tastes of the world. Bookings are essential.
Themes include Polynesian (seafood) on Friday 5, 12 and 19 August, Mediterranean on 26 August and 2 and 9 September and East meets West on 16, 23 and 30 September.
