Music rises from Ash

THOSE looking for a bit of rock‘n’roll, blues or some country rock should take a look at the Hallam Hotel’s live music scene.
Kick-starting a fantastic month of non-stop entertainment at the hotel is blues and roots singer Ash Grunwald.
A soulful singer and guitar player, Grunwald is considered to be more than just a blues musician.
He is known for combining the delta blues tradition of acoustic sounds with his own groves that are common in contemporary music.
Grunwald has built a substantial following performing live venues around the country and at major festivals such as Port Fairy.
For a great night of blues and roots don’t miss Ash Grunwald live in concert at the Hallam Hotel on Sunday 27 January. Tickets are now on sale and cost $15.
Country rock fans are also in for a treat as Steve Forde takes to the stage for his only Melbourne Show.
Forde is one of country music’s biggest touring and self-made acts.
His new self-titled album has debuted at number four on the ARIA country charts.
Forde has created a groundswell of fans across the country that is embracing his music.
Fans can see Forde live at the Hallam Hotel on Sunday 3 February. Tickets are now on sale and cost $22.
Finishing off a bumper month of entertainment, old-time favourite rockers Noiseworks will take to the big stage.
The band first shot to stardom in 1986 but still has a large following today.
Noiseworks shows always promise to bring some of that Australia live rock culture to life.
This show will be no different with some old-time favourite tunes such as Love Somebody, Burning Feeling and Hot Chilli Woman.
For a night of non-stop rock‘n’roll don’t miss Noiseworks and support band, the Choirboys on Wednesday 27 February. Tickets are now on sale and cost $37.
