SILVAN Primary School students Bronte, Matilda and Ella are top 20 finalists in the Lilydale Show Poster Competition.
Principal Leigh Johnson said it was the first time the school has entered the competition and they are very proud that not only one but three students have had their posters selected.
“We are all very excited, the kids love their art and we have some nice art pieces around the school,” he said.
“Silvan primary is a great place to learn, we are really proud of our kids’ achievements and it reflects the commitment of our teachers and our willingness for our students to do their very best.
“The judges must have a great eye, too.”
Entry was open to primary school students within the Shire of Yarra Ranges.
The purpose of the competition is to give students the opportunity to be involved in the show by creating an advertising poster for the upcoming Lilydale Show.
