A NAKED man demanding cash and keys caused a stir in Mount Evelyn overnight.
Police were called to a number of properties in McKillop Road and Hunter Road after a man, wearing no clothing, demanding cash and car keys broke his way into a number of homes.
Monbulk Leading Senior Constable Glenn Barkaway said police were called at 10.30pm.
“The guy was completely naked, and had run down to the back fence of the property,” LSC Barkaway said.
“We were able to get him to come to us, but needed to subdue him with OC spray (capsicum spray).”
LSC Barkaway said police needed to tackle the man to the ground before they could arrest him.
It is also believed the same man made a bomb threat to the Lilydale Police Station from a phone he had stolen from one of the homes in Hunter Road.
The man was taken to Maroondah Hospital with injuries including cuts police believe were caused by a barbed wire fence.
He is expected to be interviewed by police today.
