COMMUNITY service provider Morrisons House has announced it is closing after 35 years, following recent speculation over its future.
Concerns were raised after CEO Jan Simmons left the company late last month alongside corporate support manager Jan Deane.
The Morrisons governance board released a statement today confirming the facility will cease trading as a community service provider.
“This difficult decision has been reached after many months of endeavours to secure a sustainable budget position,” it said.
CEO Joe Deragon will prepare a plan for the closure and, where possible, find other service providers over the next weeks.
