CELEBRATED Dandenong Ranges campaigner and artist Jenny Saulwick will be unveiling her latest exhibition at the Burrinja Cultural Centre on Sunday 3 April.
For three decades, the trained sculptor has worked diligently, creating art with local communities.
The exhibition will present numerous projects that Saulwick, now in her eighties, has been involved with, which gives great insight into her creative process.
Over the years, she has proven to be an inspirational artist, organiser and mentor for many.
In 2015, she was awarded the Yarra Ranges Environmentalist of the Year.
The opening celebration will take place at the Burrinja Cultural Centre at 2pm, with an opening address by Karen Alexander, OAM.
Meanwhile, also featuring this week will be the play ‘4000 Miles: a tender portrait of two generations’.
The play explores the relationship between a grandson learning to face his life and a grandmother who is starting to forget hers.
Featuring Diana McLean, Stephen Multari, Eloise Snape and Aileen Huynh, the play will be performed on Thursday 31 March, at 8pm.
Burrinja is offering half-price tickets ($18) to those aged under 18 years.
