Hills artists will come together for a charity concert in Tecoma on Sunday, 27 August.
The artists who will perform sacred, classical, Irish and Australian music have donated their time and amazing talents, with all door sales going to a shelter for women and children experiencing homelessness which relies solely on donations.
Eleven musicians will perform including in the repertoire a Purcell string quartet, improvisations for cello and didgeridoo, Irish folk songs, original songs and instrumentals, and a solo Bach violin.
Hills musician Jacquie Rutten from Sacred Stage is organising the event, which starts at 2pm at the Tecoma Uniting Church, 1566 Burwood Highway, Tecoma.
Ms Rutten said they were hoping local people would support the event and had kept ticket prices at a reasonable cost of $20 and $15, with children enjoying free entry.
The church will provide a beautiful space for the concert and audience members will also be treated to a delicious home-made afternoon tea.
The concert is funded by Yarra Ranges Council and sponsored by Emerald Bell Real Estate.
Tickets available at the door or book at info@sacredstage.com.au, or phone 0455 044 764.
