Chambers unveils album

One of Australia’s most loved and accomplished performers, Kasey Chambers, has just announced the final tour dates for her ARIA No.1 album, ‘Dragonfly’, including at the York on Lilydale, Mount Evelyn, on Saturday 25 November.
The Australian country singer-songwriter has put together an incredible back-catalogue of material through her lengthy career, which dates back to the late 1990s, but her new release represents an incredible evolution for Chambers.
Fresh off the back of sold-out shows and rave reviews across the US, Chambers has recently received an ARIA Award nomination for 2017’s ARIA’s best country album.
And she’s ready to unleash her new album and songs to local audiences.
Of the new recording, Chambers reflects, “Working with Paul Kelly as my producer on one side of the double album, ‘Dragonfly’, was a dream come true,” she said.
“Paul brought out a whole new side of me, but then I also got to enjoy the comforts of recording with the person who knows and has shaped my original sound better than anyone, my brother, Nash; along with my live touring band.
“This double-album shows who I am as much as any piece of work I have ever done.”
‘Dragonfly’, a follow-up to 2014’s Bittersweet, features special guests Keith Urbank, Ed Sheeran, Paul Kelly, Grizzlee Train, Harry Hookey, Vika and Linda Bull, and Foy Vance.
The first disc of ‘Dragonfly’ was produced by ARIA Hall of Fame Paul Kelly at the Sing Sing Sessions, while the second was produced by Chambers’ brother Nash Chambers at The Foggy Mountain Sessions.
Chambers is widely lauded as an exceptional live performer, having spent years entertaining audiences throughout country Australia, metropolitan venues and also internationally.
Tickets are available at the venue or through Oztix.
