They came, they saw and they quenched their thirst.
The Yarra Valley’s Oktoberfest was a rallying point for many locals to carouse with friends while enjoying traditional German beer and food.
Thousands of lederhosen-clad blokes and Bavarian beer maids descended on Lilydale to fill their steins and pay tribute to the Oktoberfest gods.
But, as the dust settles on another year, and die Bierleichen (“beer corpses”) return to the land of the living, The Mail is here to bring you all the photos from the day.
