AusNet Services has advised there are numerous unplanned power outages across the eastern suburbs.
Crews are working on damage caused by a tree over the line near Gladysdale, which is currently impacting 108 customers in Wesburn, Yarra Junction and Gladysdale.
AusNet expects power to be back on by about 12pm.
Two crews are also patrolling lines to find the cause of an outage impacting 1513 customers across Mount Evelyn, Kalorama, Lilydale, Montrose, Mount Dandenong and Mooroolbark.
Crews are progressively restoring power.
A tree over the line has also impacted eight customers near Gembrook.
