A man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a single car crash in Avonsleigh early this morning (11 June).
Emergency services were called to Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road following reports a Holden wagon left the roadway and struck a tree about 2.10am.
The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 23-year-old Cockatoo man, was trapped before being freed by emergency services and taken to hospital.
Police will investigate the cause of the crash, anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
