Man dies after being hit by car in Ringwood

An elderly man has died in hospital after being hit by a car in Ringwood earlier this month.

The 74-year-old man was crossing Maroondah Highway when he was struck by a Ford Explorer about 11.20am on 5 March.

He was taken to hospital but sadly passed away on Saturday 27 March.

The driver of the Explorer, a 33-year-old Mooroolbark woman, and her two passengers were not injured in the incident.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing to anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
