Vic Emergency advises thunderstorm threat is reduced

Vic Emergency has announced that the severe thunderstorm warning for Greater Melbourne this morning is cancelled, with the threat considered reduced as of 9.34am. This followed the Watch and Act message issued at 8.21am

A tree had gone down in Ferntree Gully, which was cleared at about 10.33am this morning.

Vic Emergency advises residents to:

Check your property for damage

Keep clear of damaged buildings, power lines and trees.

Drivers in Lilydale should remain wary and make sure they are:

Aware of road hazards including fallen trees, floodwater and debris on the road.

Driving slowly and obeying all road signs.
