Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a 35-year-old man who frequents Ferntree Gully.

Andrew Coffey is wanted on warrant for assault offences.

Mr Coffey is known to frequent the Mooroolbark, Ferntree Gully, Ringwood and Pakenham areas.

Investigators have released an image of Mr Coffey in the hope someone may have information on his current whereabouts.

Mr Coffey is described as having a fair complexion, slim build and red/blonde hair.
