Arrests made in Bayswater operation

Victoria Police and Transit Safety Division officers undertook a planned operation in Bayswater on Friday 8 April.

The operation targeted weapons and drug offenses in Bayswater CBD and railway station.

200 people were searched under the Control of Weapon act using metal detectors, resulting in eight people being arrested for drug-related matters.

Victoria Police said they were happy to report no weapons were located.
