Farmer Incubator workshop at Yarra Valley ECOSS

Farmers in the Yarra Ranges can get tips and tricks for keeping away unwanted flora at the Controlling Weeds, Pests and Diseases: a Farmer Incubator workshop.

Hosted at Yarra Valley ECOSS 711 Old Warburton Rd Wesburn, tickets are available for those looking for organic ways to keep weeds out of their gardens or farms.

Dr Virginia Williamson (Melbourne University School of Ecosystems and Forestry Sciences) and Paul Horne (Integrated Pest Management Technologies) will guide attendees through this practical and informative workshop.

Attendees will learn how to identify a variety of weeds, pests and diseases that you might encounter on your farm or in your garden along with practical tools in sustainable management practices that you can implement to mitigate risk and encourage a healthy crop.

There will also be a delicious catered lunch and farm tour of local Biodynamic growers Silvertine Farm.
