2023 kindergarten enrollments now open

Kindergarten enrollments for 2023 are now open, with the State Government hoping every Victorian family will have access to funded kinder for three and four-year-olds.

Families will have access to between five and 15 hours of funded three-year-old kinder and 15 hours of funded four-year-old kinder in 2013 after the Victorian State government invested $131 million into the programs.

Minister for Early Childhood Ingrid Stitt said the state government wants to kick-start Victorian kids’ love of learning, social skills and confidence early.

“That’s why we’re funding two years of early learning before school, giving every child the best start in life,” she said.

“Enrolments for kinder next year are now open, so I’d encourage every Victorian family to find a fantastic local kinder that will deliver the best start for their children.”

The budget has allocated $4 million to support culturally linguistically diverse communities to enrol their students in kindergarten, with the state government encouraging them to ensure families receive better connection to support services.
