Bomb threat in Ferntree Gully

Police are currently working on a suspected bomb scare at a Ferntree Gully property.

Victoria Police have confirmed a ‘device’ was located while Illicit Firearms Squad officers attended a Anderson Street, Ferntree Gully property about 5pm on Thursday 7 July to execute a warrant.

Officers from the Bomb Response Unit are now attending to assess the situation.

“While nobody has been evacuated at this time, we have spoken to immediate neighbours and asked them to remain indoors,” a spokesperson said.

More to come.
