Knox City Council is asking residents to share their thoughts on what priorities the council should focus on to inform the Annual Budget 2023/24, with feedback closing on 18 November.

“The Annual Budget delivers services and facilities outlined in the Council Plan 2021-2025,” Knox City Council said.

“We have a strong understanding of community priorities from the deliberative engagement for the development of the Council Plan 2021-2025 undertaken in 2020.”

The council is seeking to understand if community priorities have changed or shifted prior to the draft Budget being developed early next year.

“Your feedback will help inform Council’s financial decisions to balance the needs of our diverse community. This is your chance to help shape the Budget for the next financial year,” council said.

“Recent changes to the Local Government Act 2020 allows more flexible and earlier engagement on the annual budget. We are bringing forward community engagement so your feedback can be better used to inform the development of the draft Annual Budget 2023/24.”
