Three arrested after evading police

A 25-year-old Ferntree Gully man was one of three people arrested after a car evaded police in Wantirna on Thursday 3 November.

Police said a Volkswagen GTI with no registration plates was sighted on Burwood Highway just before 1pm before officers attempted to intercept it.

The car took off towards Scoresby Road, with Police Airwing following it through numerous suburbs until it pulled into at a service station on Loughnan Road, Ringwood to re-fuel.

Three people were arrested by police, who said a 44-year-old Ashburton woman, a 19-year-old Wandin North man and the 25-year-old Ferntree Gully man are assisting police with their enquiries while the vehicle was impounded.
