At around 9.23am, a 38-year-old man was riding his pushbike on Monbulk Road in The Patch, near the Picnic Ground, when a driver in a white car hit him from behind.

After the driver failed to stop following the collision, the cyclist was taken to the Angliss Hospital in Ferntree Gully with non-life-threatening injuries by a driver of a different vehicle who stopped to assist him.

Anyone who witnessed the accident or has any information should contact Leading Senior Constable Peter Edyvane at Monbulk Police Station on 9756 6266.
