Free financial Literacy workshops for women

Knox City Council and Eastern Community Legal Centre have partnered to run three free financial Literacy workshops for women at the Knox Civil Centre.

“Financial literacy is having the skills, knowledge and confidence to understand and manage finances including personal, household, budgeting and investing,” Knox City Council said.

“In Australia, on average, women retire with approximately half the amount of retirement savings than men.”

The workshops are as follows:

Workshop 1 – Make the Most of Your Money: saving budgeting and bills – 31 May, 6pm

Workshop 2 – Prepare for the Future: superannuation and insurance – 7 June, 6pm

Workshop 3 – Managing Debt – 15 June, 6pm
