Join Emerald Museum’s Community Asset Committee

Emerald Museum’s Community Asset Committee is looking for residents to join in the near future.

This is a wonderful opportunity to help preserve cultural heritage, curate engaging exhibitions and be a part of a vibrant community of local history enthusiasts.

All positions are open, and nominations will be accepted prior to, or on the night of Emerald Museum’s Biennial General Meeting (BGM).

Community members who are interested in joining the committee are encouraged to attend the BGM to hear about the milestones and achievements of the Museum over the previous two years.

Members of the Community Asset Committee are expected to:

Carry out a two-year term

Attend meetings once every two months to discuss organisational activities

Participate in a rotating roster during museum opening hours

Represent the museum at key community events to network and raise awareness

No previous experience in museums, history or heritage is required to be a committee member.
