Improving safeguards against scams

Ready TechGo is hosting an online workshop that will cover a range of topics, including the common types of scams that target seniors, such as identity theft, phishing and romance scams as well as how to recognise them and avoid them.

The speaker will also provide tips on how to use technology safely, such as protecting your passwords and person information and avoiding suspicious emails and website.

This talk will be beneficial to anyone who uses a computer, smartphone, or other digital devices. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.

The Scams and ESafety Talk is part of Yarra Ranges Council’s Café Connect series.

Café Connect is a casual social gathering where the community can come together to enjoy good company, delicious coffee and inspiring conversation.
