Young voices are encouraged to be heard

Knox City Council Youth Services is hosting the Knox Youth Summit, an exciting event bringing together young people across Knox to discuss important issues including mental health, the environment, cultural diversity and more.

The summit is an important process of consultation for Council to hear from young people and provides an opportunity for their voices to be heard. It is open for any young person who lives, studies, works or has a connection to Knox and is free.

There will be two events to provide as much accessibility for young people to attend, recognising that young people undertaking VCE/VCAL/VET or similar may be unable to attend on a regular school day.

The event for 12-18 year olds will be on Wednesday 23 August, from 9am to 3pm, and for 16-25 year olds on Saturday 9 September, from 10am to 2pm

Both events will be held at the Knox City Council, 511 Burwood Highway, Wantirna South with lunch, morning and afternoon tea being provided.

A registration form needs to be completed by the young person directly, or by a parent or guardian.

Please note anyone who is under the age of 18 will require parental permission to attend this event. We will be contacting all parents directly once we have received a registration to confirm attendance and answer any questions about the day.

Local can apply at knoxcouncil.wufoo.com/forms/knox-youth-participant-information-and-permission/
