The costs for the vaccines are for meningococcal B vaccines, $147.00, whooping cough is $61.00 and the meningococcal ACWY vaccine is $97.00.
The meningococcal ACWY vaccine is free for children aged 12 months old.
HPV vaccine is free for people aged 12 to 25 years old.
Meningococcal disease is uncommon, yet a serious condition.
It is caused by meningococcal bacteria that is passed from person to person.
Infants and young children, particularly those aged less than two years are most at risk.
Both the meningococcal B and meningococcal ACWY vaccines are recommended for children from 6 weeks of age.
Whooping cough is a serious and infectious respiratory infection caused by the bacterium Bordetella pertussis.
Whooping cough is most serious in babies under the age of 12 months.
For babies less than 6 months of age, the symptoms can be severe or life threatening.
It is recommended that adult household contacts and carers of infants younger than 6 months of age receive this vaccination.
If their last vaccine was more than 10 years ago, the recommendation is to get the vaccine at least 2 weeks before contact with the infant.
HPV is a common virus that is spread through sexual contact.
The HPV vaccine is most effective when given to young people of all genders before they become sexually active and are exposed to HPV.
