Knox Youth Career Expo

City of Knox Council is helping young people kick start their future by hosting the free Knox Youth Career Expo on 24 August.

In partnership with Outer Eastern Local Learning and Employment Network, we are inviting people aged 15-25 to come and explore exciting training and career pathways.

Over 20 exhibitors, including local employers, volunteer organisations and employment services will be at the expo.

This will be a great opportunity to discover available opportunities, get career advice, and meet potential employers.

This years’ exhibitors include interchange Outer East, disability support service, ARB, manufacturer and distributer of four-wheel drive accessories, Puffing Billy Railways, a major tourist attraction in Dandenong Ranges, Mas Experience, recruitment agency offering apprenticeships, MT Windows, professional cleaning company, Nurse Next door, caregiver and home care service.

The council team will also be exhibiting opportunities at Knox City Council.

Come and have a chat with them to discover training and career pathways local government offers.

Experts will be available to provide advice on resume writing, interviewing skills, and finding apprenticeships.

Over 100 people attended last year’s event, and one job seeker lined up two job interviews for the following day and was offered a job by the end of the week.

Free hot beverages will also be available when you arrive.

The Knox Youth Career Expo will be held from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on Thursday 24 August at the KIOSC Swinburne Trade Training Centre, 369 Stud Road, Wantirna South.

This event is free of charge.
